About the Graphic and Web Design Internship/Traineeship
Silverstar Digital Consultants under Weezy Media Concepts LLC. is looking for a Graphic Designer Intern with a solid need to participate on real world projects, and who is eager and willing to learn, switch gears quickly, and be comfortable designing in industry standard software like Adobe. The Graphic Designer Intern will be assisting on graphic design, print and web design projects with other designers on the team. This internship will be a three-month program that could help you land your first job in design, but this is not guaranteed.
This is more of a training than internship and perfect for a current student studying Graphic Design or anyone looking to learn graphic or web design skills. We can be flexible around your school schedule as long as you can be available anytime between the following window: Monday-Friday 7:30 am - 4:30 pm

Education & Eligibility:

Recently obtained degree, or related field of study.

Junior computer student looking to learn graphic design tools
-
Anyone passionate about all things social media marketing and looking to learn graphic design and earn skills
-
Photography skills are a plus

During the Internship, you will:
-
Learn and assist with layout and design of ad pages.
-
Input text and photos into templates and learn how to edit templates based on a design given requirements.
-
Output to PDF for press and proof reading.
-
Use of spell check to ensure proper spelling of ad information. Must pay extreme attention to detail and have high level proofreading skills on own work as well as work of team members.

Stay organized and understand calendars and deadlines.
-
Cross-train with other team members.

Get a strong familiarity of social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, and LinkedIn

Create miscellaneous designs, signage, magazine covers & newspaper ads.
-
Download, resize, clip, and manipulate photos in Photoshop.
-
Incorporate themes and seasonal artwork as needed.

Learn the basics of web design (HTML and CSS)
-
Create low resolution PDFs for online viewing.
-
Post PDFs to web sites.

Learn and assist on video editing projects.

Content marketing (Types and means of media creation)

Bonus: Canva for the development of static graphics, GIFs, original illustration, motion animations for video and web, etc.
